Billing & Currency
Mahogany Bay Resort accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. The local currency is the Belize dollar (BZD). US dollars are accepted at most locations in Belize. If you need to exchange currency, our front desk staff will gladly assist you. The exchange rate is $1 USD to $2 BZD.
Gratuities & Service Charge
For your convenience, a 10% service charge is automatically added to all food and beverage purchases. If you'd like to leave an additional gratuity for the entire team or a specific staff member, you can do so by leaving it in your room or handing it directly to a team member. You also have the option to add gratuity to your bill at check-out.Emergency Procedures
We have 24/7 security. In the case of an emergency, a front desk agent is available from 10pm to 6am, and 24 hour security is available by dialing 13. In the case of a medical emergency, there is an urgent care facility located in San Pedro. If you smell smoke or there is a fire in your room, immediately close the door behind you, then report the incident to the Front Desk.Medical Information
Please inform us of any significant medical conditions or food allergies that may require special precautions during your stay. In most cases, we can assist you in obtaining replacements for misplaced or forgotten medications from a local pharmacy.Non-Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited in rooms, on terraces, within the resort premises, and near any building entrances. A $250.00 USD + taxes cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in rooms.Lost Property
All lost property found on the premises should be handed in at the Mahogany Bay Resort front desk. Items will be stored in the housekeeping lost-and-found for one month.
Environmental Conservation
Join us in conserving water by reusing your linens and towels during your stay. This practice not only reduces water and energy consumption but also minimizes detergent wastewater that needs recycling within our community.
If you require a towel change, please leave it in your shower. Bed linens are changed routinely every 3 days. For drinking water, please refill your water bottle with filtered water from your room or designated stations throughout the resort.
Please remember to turn off all lights and air conditioners when not in use or before leaving your room. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
